The Wabash County YMCA takes pride in offering the Child Watch Program, one of our most valued features for members with children aged 6 weeks to 8 years old. This program provides parents with the opportunity to engage in their wellness activities while their little ones are cared for in a safe and nurturing environment.

Parents can take advantage of the Child Watch Program during designated hours, allowing for flexibility and convenience. Each family, adult, or youth membership unit is entitled to utilize this benefit for up to two hours per day.

Ensuring the safety and well-being of every child is our top priority. That's why all Child Watch staff undergo comprehensive screenings and training, including drug screening, background checks, and specialized training in child development, health, safety, and abuse/neglect prevention. We are committed to maintaining a secure and supportive environment where children can thrive and parents can have peace of mind.

With the Child Watch Program, parents can focus on their fitness and wellness goals while knowing that their children are in capable hands. It's just another way that the Wabash County YMCA supports families in our community.

At the Wabash County YMCA, we understand that learning is a lifelong journey, and it doesn't have to end when the school day is over. That's why we're proud to offer before and after school care programs at local schools, designed to provide students with enriching experiences and support beyond the classroom.

In our programs, students have the opportunity to receive healthy snacks, homework assistance, and engage in a variety of activities that promote holistic development. From STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) projects to physical health and nutrition activities, we aim to foster a well-rounded educational experience for every child.

Our dedicated mentors and certified teachers create a supportive and engaging environment where students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Whether they're exploring new concepts in science and technology or participating in creative arts and physical fitness activities, children are encouraged to discover their passions and build the skills they need to become tomorrow's leaders.

By partnering with schools and families, we aim to provide comprehensive support that extends beyond traditional classroom learning. At the Wabash County YMCA, we believe in empowering children to reach their full potential and preparing them for success in school and in life.

3. Parent/guardian must obtain a copy of the child's shot records and drop it off to the YMCA. You may also fax (260.563.8803) or email a copy to Brittany Burnett bburnett@wabashcountyymca.org

4. Download the Brightwheel Phone App for instant notifications and updates. You must complete all 4 steps in order for your child to hold a spot in the program.

TAKE A BREAK

Looking for a fun and safe option for your kids while you enjoy a night out? Look no further than Parents' Night Out at the Wabash County YMCA! Whether you're attending a concert at the Honeywell Center, exploring Museum Under the Stars, or simply having a date night, we've got you covered.

During Parents' Night Out, your child will be entertained with a variety of activities, including games, movie time, arts and crafts, and even swimming! Our experienced staff ensures a fun and engaging experience for every child.

Please remember to pack a bathing suit, towel, and water bottle for your child, as swimming may be included in the activities. Additionally, all children must be potty trained to participate.

And don't worry about dinner – we've got that covered too! Dinner will be provided for all children attending Parents' Night Out, so you can relax and enjoy your evening knowing that your child is having a blast in a safe and supervised environment.

Register your child for Parents' Night Out at the Wabash County YMCA and treat yourself to some well-deserved relaxation knowing that your child is in good hands.
